Dear Reader: Flowers

I had just gotten off of work when I felt compelled to purchase some flowers. It was time to replace the ones that slowly withered in the vase on my dining room table. A pair of tailored trousers halted a little below my ankle while the suit jacket somewhat loosely hugged my back, tying the entire look together. I arrived at the store where flowers waited so graciously. While scanning for the perfect bouquet a fellow accompanied by a friend asked, “Are you going on a date”? “I was in such a zone I shook my head no and kept searching. It wasn’t until I slowed down that the question registered. I lightly laughed and picked the Silk Hydrangea.
